|IR and broadband optics that can be custom fabricated and ready for OEM assembly as windows, lenses, mirrors, and prisms made from many materials are available from Meller Optics, Inc. of Providence, Rhode Island.
Meller IR and Broadband Optics can be fabricated to precise customer specifications from zinc selenide and -sulfide, calcium- and magnesium fluoride, germanium, silicon, sapphire, and spinel. Available as windows, lenses, mirrors, and prisms, they can incorporate mounting holes, slots, stepped edges, wedges, and various A/R and reflective coatings.
Suitable for use in detector, sensor, and front surface applications, Meller IR and Broadband Optics can feature plano convex, -concave, and meniscus configurations with λ/4 and λ/10 surfaces and finishes to 10-5 scratch-dig. Sizes can range from 1/4” to 6” O.D. or diagonal with tolerances to ±0.005” and thickness to ±0.002”, depending upon material.
Meller IR and Broadband Optics conform to MIL-PRF-13830 and are priced according to material, configuration, and quantity.
