|Custom fabricated IR and broadband optics for applications such as front
surface optics, detector windows, filter substrates, and viewports are
available from Meller Optics, Inc. of Providence, Rhode Island.
Meller IR and Broadband Optics include windows, lenses, mirrors, and prisms made from calcium- and magnesium fluoride for transmission out to 20 Ám, germanium, silicon, zinc selenide, and zinc sulfide. Featuring λ/4 and λ/10 surfaces and finishes to 10-5 scratch-dig, they are fabricated to customer specification in plano-convex, concave, and meniscus configurations.
Produced in sizes from 0.25" to 5" O.D. or diagonal, with ▒0.005" tolerance and thickness to ▒0.002", Meller IR and Broadband Optics are available with or without A/R coatings. Supplied in prototype through production quantities, these precision optics conform to MIL-PRF-13830.
